Today a few of us teachers were given free tickets for a trip down the Chagres River to see an Embera village. It was a beautiful day with dry season weather, and it was fun to learn more about this group of people and their traditions. Having a conversation with one of the tribal members, we learned that a bunch of them cross the river every Sunday to attend Gamboa Union Church. Small world!
