More Pics: Azuero Trip

In Pedasi, tracing our journey in the sand (see next post).
 Apparently I can fly.
The view on the beach during sunset (Pedasi).
The view from Hotel Villa Romana (Pedasi)
The oldest church in Panama (in Natá)

 Interesting mural artwork in Natá
We spent the night in Aguadulce and went to the Sugar/Salt Museum in the morning.

This is how they used to crush the sugar cane.

This is an aerial view of a model showing how they dry out the salt. It takes several days. The guide told us the oldest men of the town would go down to the drying bed and taste the salt. If it was salty enough, it got approved and moved to the next stage of processing, if not, it had to sit and dry out for a few more days.

Our guide's last name was Diaz. We joked we were long-lost cousins. He was super knowledgable and made the historical tour interesting and clear.

I just think this picture is hilarious. I'm standing next to Dalia, our very generous host in Los Santos. Her whole family was very short, and I had to duck through every doorway, as her house was made for people less than 5'5" feet tall. Her family was extremely kind and said that we were welcome to stay with them any time we're in Los Santos again.
